Job Description

* Participate in the review of Business Requirements and contribute materially to the development of functional design
* Development of source code, including descriptions, for all Software Components in accordance with the Detailed Software Requirements Specification, the functional design and technical
design documents.
* Work closely with other solution architect and functional analyst within the team to understand the requirements and design a solution that complies with the requirements
* Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements
* Create High Level Design and detailed design documents with support of architects for the assigned scope items
* Provide L0/L1/L2/L3 development effort
* Thorough impact analysis to identify all impacted internal and also external dependant modules
* Actively participate in defect triage meetings
* Support QA/UAT team by reviewing test cases and timely resolution of defects.
* Develop comprehensive unit test cases and and unit test plan
* Conduct comprehensive unit testing and assist in building an automated unit and regression test suite
* Timely status updates to Supervisor/Lead
* Conduct peer review during design, coding and testing
* Conduct demos (POC) and seek early feed back

Candidate Skill Set

3-5 years commercial development experience, 2 years in Big Data development
* Software Lifecycle/Programming experience
* Design Patterns & Frameworks
* Experience in handling normalized / de-normalized data
* Must have previous hands on development experience in HADOOP BIG data architecture * Java, map-reduce, HBASE/HIVE, Oozy, Pig and other Hadoop eco-systems components
* Knowledge of SQL is required, while Oracle is preferred, any other ANSI compliant RDBMS acceptable
* Financial experience, cross product or regulatory knowledge
* Previous experience of working in Agile methodology
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, and a responsible team-player
* Willingness to roll up their sleeves and do what is necessary to drive projects to completion
* Commitment to produce high quality work in a timely manner
* Ability to identify and interpret stakeholders needs and requirements

* Work to tight deadlines and provide regular progress updates against agreed milestones
